Mission statement
Our Story
InterVarsity Christian Fellowship is an evangelical campus mission serving students and faculty on college and university campuses nationwide. InterVarsity was founded in 1877 at the University of Cambridge, England. In 1941, it came across the pond and became established in the United States. Since then the organization has grown to include over 1000 InterVarsity staff and chapters on over 600 campuses nationwide.
The Bryn Mawr College chapter of InterVarsity is a diverse community of women seeking to learn how to follow God together. We are a group of students trying to grow in faith, truth, and love through reading the Bible and prayer. We aim to serve God through serving those around us, on campus and off.
InterVarsity is not associated with any particular denomination of Christianity. We welcome everyone from every creed. Our chapter does not have an exclusive affiliation with any particular church in the Bryn Mawr area. There are many churches that offer us support throughout the year.
